Multi-Seed Power Crackers: Allergen Free, Raw, Vegan, High Fiber

Hippie Chips

All Organic and Raw Ingredients:

1 cup Flax Seeds

1/2 cup Chia Seeds

1/2 cup Pumpkin Seeds

1/2 cup Sunflower Seeds


-Soak Flax Seeds in purified water overnight. Use enough water to cover seeds by at least 1/4-1/2″. Rinse the seeds off at least 1 time throughout first half of soaking period, add more water and continue to soak.

NOTE: Don’t use tap water! The seeds will soak up all the nasty chemicals, fluoride, hormones etc…

-Add Chia, Pumpkin and Sunflower seeds in the morning. Stir all ingredients and add More purified water to cover the seed mix by 1/4-1/2 inch.

-Let soak for 1-2 hours.

-When water in seed mixture is fully absorbed and still slimy, spread mixture on to dehydrator tray. Spread mixture 2-3 seed layer thin, like a cracker. Too thick will take longer to dehydrate and you run the risk of mold growth. And too thin the crackers will crumble. Most the time when dehydrating crackers I like to double up the mesh lining so that the seeds don’t slime through the holes.

-For Dehydrators with temp. settings: Set on low or live food setting and dehydrate for up to 12+ hours. Use quick flip drying technique to make sure the center and any thick areas are completely dehydrated. Inspect your crackers for mold regularly.

-For Circular Dehydrators without temp. settings: If your circular trays have wide open slat trays, you can use parchment paper to line it, poke small holes throughout for air flow and cut a hole in the center of the circular tray to increase air flow and ventilation. Keep an eye on the crackers in the lowest tray and cycle the trays through so each dehydrates evenly. When they start to curl up on the edges, are fully DRY in the center and break fairly easily, they should be done. Dehydrate any portions that need more time as you break the rest apart. If you have a circular dehydrator, that does not have specific temperature settings, it can take much longer to dehydrate (esp. with older models).

-Carefully break into cracker size pieces and enjoy with Hippie dip Recipe (as pictured) for an awesome snack!
